Cyberliability Insurance
Why do you need cyberliability indemnity insurance?
As a modern company operating in the high tech
world of today, you make use of a computer network that allows for
internal e-mail. You also have connection to the internet and the
ability to send and receive e-mail from colleagues and clients all
over the world. You also have your own web site containing information
about your company and the products and services you offer.
This insurance policy will protect you financially
if a third party brings a claim against you arising from your use of the
internet, electronic mail, intranet, extranet or your Worldwide web site
due to one of the following:-
- Infringement of intellectual property rights.
- Breach of confidence or infringement of
any right to privacy.
- Misuse of any information which is either
confidential or subject to statutory restrictions on its use.
- Defamation.
- Inadvertent transmission of a virus.
- Fraudulent use by an employee of your electronic
signature or external e-mail.
It will also cover your own losses arising
from:-
- Damage to your own website.
- Damage to your computer network or any data you
hold electronically arising from unauthorised access.
- Reliance on a third party's fraudulent use of
any electronic signature, certificate or mail or website.
- The fraudulent use of your own electronic signature,
certificate or mail or website.
