News: Strong 2021 performance and plans for growth in 2022.

The General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS) play a significant role in shaping the teaching profession of Scotland. The organisation assist in maintaining and improving professional standards whilst contributing to the development of teacher professionalism and Scottish education in general. GTCS recently engaged with Bruce Stevenson Insurance Brokers to undertake a comprehensive health and safety audit of the organisation’s premises and practices. Once the audit was completed, additional support was required to help deliver specific action points

In order to meet the requirements stated by GTCS, we carried out the following;
•    Developed Health & Safety Policies & Procedures 
•    Conducted Risk Assessments 
•    Provided advice on healthy working environments and grant access to the Bruce Stevenson Risk Management system
•    Provided training to staff on Health & Safety Procedures 

As a result of the risk management work carried out, GTCS was awarded a Bronze Healthy Working Lives Award. In addition to this, staff are now fully aware of the importance of health and safety as part of their everyday schedules. These practices have also been comprehensively built into the company’s induction programmes for all new team members.
