Each year, our staff dedicate our fundraising efforts on one chosen charity, for whom we raise thousands of pounds.
For 2019 we are delighted to announce that we have appointed Erskine as our charity of choice and have made a commitment to donate 2% of our annual net profits to support them.
Erskine provide care homes for over 800 Armed Forces veterans each year, allowing the residents to enjoy companionship of like-minded people. The charity takes pride in caring for their residents and tailor the needs of each individual veteran to ensure they receive the highest level of support they deserve. For veterans who need help to begin the next chapter of their lives, Erskine provide social, recreation and training facilities, single and family accommodation and employment opportunities. All within a Veterans Village setting that provides support to veterans of all ages.
Edward Bruce, CEO of Bruce Stevenson Insurance Brokers, said
“Many of us will have been impacted by conflicts of the past in some form no matter how indirectly or remote. Our society is built on the legacy of those that have made and continue to make sacrifices on our behalf and we at Bruce Stevenson, can think of no better way to honour them than by supporting our veterans through charities such as Erskine.
When we signed the Armed Forces Covenant we made a pledge to uphold its principles and to support veterans and service leavers alike. Erskine as our 2019 charity of choice is one more step to help us achieve this.”
Erskine’s Chief Executive, Wing Commander Ian Cumming, said
“We are delighted to have secured the support of such a successful and innovative partner as Bruce Stevenson Insurance Brokers. Their signing of the Military Covenant is further testimony to their clear understanding and appreciation of Erskine’s work across Scotland in providing compassionate care and holistic support to Veterans, who gave so much to their nation.”
We look forward to our year ahead organising as many fun, active and challenging events as we can to raise funds for such a worthy cause.
